P. Lubis is a partner, technology evaluation and advisory for Dwipo, Lubis & Partners IP Law Firm. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of University of Sahid, Jakarta and also holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Borobudur, Jakarta in 1997. In 2014, he obtained scholarship from The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) & The Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) to attend The JPO/IPR Training Course for Patent Expert in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Lubis has extensive experience in the field of intellectual property. Prior to establishing the firm, he had worked as a patent attorney for eight years at the Indonesian leading intellectual property law firm, namely Pacific Patent.
As a registered Intellectual Property Consultant, Mr. Lubis is officially admitted to practice before the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights of Indonesia. As a licensed advocate, Mr. Lubis is also officially admitted to practice before the courts throughout Indonesia. He teaches a number of in-house patent law issues and he is also a co-author of a number of publications on intellectual property issues. He specializes in patent & industrial design prosecution, drafting patent application (national and international), technical analyses for technology appropriation, patentability analysis, and filing and prosecution of PCT international applications. With his experiences in handling a broad range of patent matters, he has regularly counseled and advised clients concerning patentability of inventions.
Mr. Lubis is also an active member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia - PERADI), International Trademark Association (INTA), the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), the Indonesian Intellectual Property Society and the Association of Indonesian Intellectual Property Consultants.
